Crochet Bunny With A Wardrobe

Hippity hoppity Easter's on it's way, and I've got a little somebunny to share with you.

Last December #2 daughter decided she wanted to make a crocheted bunny for a certain five year old.

I don't sew.  I don't crochet, and I don't knit.

#2 daughter however picked up some needles one day a couple years ago and just started doing it.  No pattern, no instruction, no nothing.

She made winter hats for all her brothers, scarves and pretty boot toppers for the girls.

She even made a joke gift for one brother who said he wanted a pair of pants to match his hat.  So she used all her left over pieces of yarn and made the boy a pair of colorful crocheted pants that he wore all day that Christmas.

For me, I was gifted with a long gray and white throw that covers from my shoulders over the tips of my toes for movie watching in the winter months.

And from that throw, the left over yarn was used for the bunny.

That's how Daughter #2 rolls.  She sees something and her creative mind figures out how to duplicate it, because her mind doesn't know the word can't.

This bunny was no different and it's the cutest thing.

She didn't stop at making just a bunny however, she proceeded to make some bunny boots, and bunny clothes complete with a little cut out for a fluffy little bunny tail to fit through.

She gathered a button from the button jar to accent a gray bunny coat.

All the yarn she used was left over from the other gifted projects she made.

There are little bunny hats with crocheted holes for bunny ears to stick up through.

She even made the hangers for the bunny clothes.

She salvaged cardboard and made a bunny bed, with a bunny quilt from more left over yarn.

Then she took an old shoe box and simply drew a facade inside and out that would open up for a bunny bedroom.

There is a back bunny door.....

And I'm pretty sure if she would of had more time she would of crocheted a whole bunny house.

Of course somebunny absolutely loved the hand made rabbit.

  8. I do remember those pants! Funny story, I was looking at bunnies on Pinterest and had come to the conclusion that some of the bunny projects made the bunnies look a little scary, but these bunnies...are the cutest, most adorable that I have seen. Then there's the bunny house and the bunny accessories, WOW. Keep it up Daughter#2!
