Truncate Test Post

This is a test.  A truncating test.  The whole post is gibberish, so don't respond.  After I see how this works I will be removing this truncating-test-gibberish-post.  There is talk of line breaks and little icons I never knew what they were, but I see it now, it's like a paper split in half.  Gonna click on it right here.......
Ok so in this post box I see like a line of dots above this line.  That's good, that's what the instructions said I'd see.  But it says when I preview I won't see it, but when I publish I will.  So I'm gonna publish, and see what it looks like when it comes to my email.  Should be a truncated post.

And let me just say I'm confused.  I mean I'm not confused, I get what I'm doing here and why, but FeedBurner RSS has a setting too.  I did that one last week.  So I don't know if that's gonna mess with the settings I'm doing here.  Probably huh?  Guess we will see when I hit publish.  Bliss you are talking to yourself.  I know.  And in case anyone reads this post before I am able to delete it, yes the ducks have been on the porch this week.  They learned they can jump up there.  They ate all my flowers, and made a mud mess, not to mention they leave piles of poo everywhere.  Very gross.  I told my daughter to train them to stay off my damm porch or I'm gonna cook them.
(Not really though, I like them, they come running when they see me).

  8. LOL - cook the ducks! :0) We used to have ducks and I thought they were so cute when we got them as little bitty ducklings...until they starting dropping landmines right outside the door. Now, my vote is to cook all ducks.

  11. I am no blogger, so I have noooo idea what you're on about (didn't stop me from reading it though - quite entertaining). But I DO relate to the duck poo thing. We've got ducks. You're right. They're cute. But man, do they poo!! Ours lay eggs, with is good. Except not in the duck house we have for them. Noooo. It's like easter every second day at our house, hunting for eggs!

  12. Well, you are ahead of me in figuring out how to do this. You go girl.

  13. Ha, the ducks made me laugh. We have Canada (not Canadian) geese because of the lake out back. One day I counted over 130 geese in my yard, then I lost count as I was shooing them back to the lake and tip toeing over their droppings. So I know how ya feel. I need to do that truncating thing , too!

  14. Please don't hurt the ducks. They are so darn cute. Can't you build them their own little yard with their own little garden in your spare time? I think that would make them happy and it would keep them off your porch. It would be a win win (especially for them).

  15. Yeah, I have to figure out how to do this, too. I'd ask ya', but I'm on Wordpress. Cook one duck, save the other.

  16. Oh, all the things we should do as bloggers...maybe I'll take a look at my settings too. Just to be a follower of the Blog Goddesses. Don't cook the ducks - doesn't seem sporting to cook them after they run to you :)

  18. Duck poo. Yuk! Good luck with the truncation. Talking to yourself is very healthy. It keeps one sane.

  19. Yep, I see it too! I listen to myself far better than anyone else listens when I talk, so I say talk on! I find my comments (when I'm talking to myself) quite entertaining and far cheaper than therapy!! As for the ducks, hmmm. Do they make duck diapers? Wonder if those shock mats I use to train pets to STAY OFF OF THE TABLE! would work?? Sounds awful, I know, but it is only a mild shock, might work. On the other hand, it might scare the crap out of them. Oh, yeah, that happens anyway, right?! Good luck, love your blog.

    1. That is actually a good idea, might train them. Running after them waving my hands just makes them laugh at me.

  20. Ha! A uniquely new work-out - chasing laughing geese! The shock mat works wonders for me, who knows it might work for the geese, too. Anything to help keep their ummm, offerings where they belong.

  22. I was just thinking, I wonder how Deer and Ducks get along...me I have Deer come up and eat my plants off the back and front deck and porch....they eat the dogs left over food, and since we keep a big trough for our dog,and sons dogs when they visit, they come and get drinks...when late and working on a project in my back sun work room, I hear then messing with the water .....so do deer and ducks get along...now that would be a crazy pic......we need to each take pics...some day...and send them back and forth.....could be a hoot...have a good Labor Day.

  23. 1. put diapers on the ducks.
    2. I am probably not going to truncate unless I see my stuff all over the webiverse. I wrote a post about it which will go up tomorrow. (Having to do posts ahead of time now. Not liking it.)

  24. It worked Bliss... I did the same. Now you need to truncate your RSS feed so it is that way in the google reader... who knew? Here's how: www.theshabbycreekcottage.com/2012/08/how-to-truncate-your-rss-feed-on-blogger.html That way people that read your post in a reader (like I do) will have to click to get to your blog.... just saying :)
