I'm a Santa Collector.
Well I used to be anyhow.
But once people find that out, Mr. Kringle keeps arriving in some way shape or form.
Yup, it's true. I have one mantel I usually decorate in the family room and two that I might put some garland on or leftover lights.... if I feel inspired.
I also have a Santa collection that has never had a home.
I scope out a random spot to sprawl them out on, and many years I don't even feel like letting them out of their bin.
This year the Santas are loose.
Bedroom mantel......meet Santa.
That one with the big red bowl full of jelly in the front -
I refer to him as pregnant Santa, he's one of my favorites.
That's it, nothing earth shattering or amazing.
It's the first time the Santa gang has been corralled and the first time the bedroom mantel looks like I put some decorations there on purpose.
In a metal tool box tote, I added mostly St. Nick's my kids have made, and presto - my normally un-decorated bedroom (unless wrapping paper and misc. required holiday items all over the floor for a month, count as decorating) is beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
The metal mold Santa is another one of my favorites, along with the ones my kids proudly made of course.
Santa is out of the bin and holding holiday on the bedroom mantel......
It's a Christmas miracle of the North Pole kind.
love that metal mold- so fun! my mom has a santa collection as well!
ReplyDeleteLove the Santas all corralled! Great way to show the collection.
ReplyDeleteAll of those Santas in the bedroom, I hope you stay on the "nice" list!😉
ReplyDeleteMy heart gets all melty when I see the ornaments my kids made. I love that yours are out to enjoy in your bedroom.
ReplyDeleteI never knew you were such a big Santa collector. You have all kinds! They look nice grouped together.
ReplyDeleteLove your collection Bliss. So nice to see the unusual ones and especially the ones your kids made. What a Treasure!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Christmas.

I love santas displayed as a group. Love your "pregnant" Santa, also, looks like he's just got his union suit on! Fun!
ReplyDeleteFantastic collection and you displayed it perfectly. Those collections do tend to take on a life of their own, but people mean well

You really can appreciate a collection, gathered that way! I am loving preggo Santa, too! Fun post, Bliss!
ReplyDeleteI'm a Santa collector too. I have blue and white Santa's on my kitchen hutch. I have the red and white ones on my living room mantle and on the sofa table. Ok I also collect Nutcrackers and they are on the family room mantle. I love them all.
ReplyDeleteI love the Santas in the ammunition box. Pregnant Santa looks like he's ready for a hot toddy and to bed. These will be easy to put away as well. No finding a hidden Santa on a shelf in April. That happens to me all the time.
ReplyDeletePregnant Santa... haha
ReplyDeleteWell, those Santas sure have good taste and know where to party! Prettiest crate sleigh I ever did see!
I can tell how much you love these guys, because it sounds like they each have names. I have a small collection of Santas, but now I'm inspired to keep going. And now I know it's okay to mix Santa styles, too. LOVE the way you displayed your collection!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great collection and so nicely displayed! Love the vintage crates you have to work with. I have a much smaller Santa collection and I like grouping them. This year I put them on a little cabinet that I squeezed into our front hall half bathroom. I may have knocked two over and broken them, but nothing some glue couldn't fix. Wishing you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and wishes for good health and happiness in the New Year!
