September has arrived, and with it Fall arrives too.
If you're lucky Fall brings a few cool evenings enjoying a cup of hot cider
fresh apple pies, and a bountiful harvest.
It also brings an Autumn giveaway with the Thrifty Style Team.
If you visit each of the participating thrifty team members you'll have a chance to win a little something-something from their thrifty stash.
And that's just what I'm giving away, some signs of Fall.
These signs are made from cedar lats, or wood shims as my husband refers to them. I have used these little lats before in projects, I have my own apple pie sign from a hunk of the cedar.
But my sign wasn't really about the usual apple pie. I made it to hang on a big glass jug that contained an adult beverage known as apple pie. Moonshine. It's some tasty, but potent stuff to drink on Halloween, not that I know that from experience.
I have a Pinterest Board of Signs - and I often check it for inspiration. There are LOTS of pins, so give it a follow it you like looking at interesting graphics.

ReplyDeleteI love the colors of fall and the fragrances of cinnamon, pumpkin and apple. I love putting a fire in the fireplace and cuddling with a soft blanket. I love putting a pot of soup on the stove and basically enjoying the comforts of home.

ReplyDeleteLove these mini Fall signs. They are so versatile being able to place them throughout the home, whether on a shelf, in a wreath, or added to a fall grouping. They have that subtle farmhouse feel to them that I love, and remind me of being at a local farm stand, and all that you experience while there.

So...my husband buys moonshine from the folks at work. He likes the peach, but I much prefer the apple pie. As you know, my hometown provides most of the 🍎 for Mrs. Smith’s pies, so 🍏 will always have a special place in my ❤️.

ReplyDeleteLove these fall signs. My grandparents owned an apple orchard for years, so they are special. The first sign of Fall around here is less than 90 degree temperatures. We've had the 80s this week because of rain. It's officially fall now, whether it stays below 90 or NOT!
