2013 Project Collage

I realized as I was putting this 2013 project collage together that my computer holds a lot of pictures.

And in those pictures there are a lot of projects I never posted about in 2013.  If you would like to see the projects I did post about, just click on the Gallery of Projects link at the top.

2013 Project Collage Bliss-Ranch.com

My favorite post of last year?

I don't know if I can pick a solid favorite, but I can easily pick the most fun.  Hands down that had to be the Valentine Hey Girl Link Party

Readers were plenty funny captioning their hunks and linking them up.

Below is one of several Hey Girl's of Brawn that I got away with.......

I'm certain he never saw the post, nor did our daughters, as neither of them commented about a photo I used of their dad dripping wet on the beach. Maybe seeing that sent them to therapy huh?

For the second year in a row my most viewed project is a portable patio dresser bar that I re-purposed out of a free antique from a garage sale.

It might be fun to bring the libation station in the house for a New Years Eve celebration.  We'll see; it gathers a lot of dust in the garage over winter that I would have to clean off.

And my most popular project of 2013 just happens to be one of my favorites as well.

Stone Look Concrete Walkway Bliss-Ranch.com
Stone Look Walkway
We made three faux stone walkways in our yard last summer, the one above replaced an old peeling wood walkway.  I wouldn't be surprised if there is yet another one of these added in our yard for '14.

As 2013 heads out and 2014 rings in, I want to thank the people who read the Bliss Ranch blog. To the 20 who I know, and the thousands who view each month that I don't know....thank you.  If there was only one of you who sent me an email that said something I made (or fumbled through) inspired you, it would still be worth it.

A couple years ago around this time, I sat down at the computer with no expectations or knowledge of blog building.  Other bloggers, some more experienced, some not, took the time, pointed me in the right direction more than once, walked me through instructions, told me when something sucked and high five'd me when I got it right, and they became friends.  I may not boast about who those folks are on the blog, but I'm not shy about thanking them in private, and you know who you are.

So from the nameless readers, the helpful groups, and the places I have business relationships with, to the ones I email and cluck with, thank you.  Just. Thank. You!

  17. I love that bar cabinet, and you know I don't drink! I think of all your awesome projects, the Hey Girl Link party remains my favorite. I love to laugh more than anything in the world, and that was THE FUNNIEST link party I have ever seen. My husband loved it, and even shared it on his facebook profile, and he never shares anything to promote me or my brand on there (not that he doesn't love me, he just likes to keep things separated on FB I guess). Hope you have a totally awesome New Years Eve and 2014 rings in with much peace, love and happiness. I just adore you, even if I only know you through my computer. Happy New Year friend!!!

  23. Your dresser bar was how I found Bliss Ranch a year and a half ago and have been following you ever since with great respect for your style and talent!! The Hey Girl party was extremely funny and helped a nervous new blogger like myself loosen up enough to finally make a comment. (I know, I probably have issues) anyway, thanks Bliss for making me feel comfortable enough to come back and comment again, and again, NOT TO MENTION, all your project inspiration from 2013. Can't wait to see all that's in store at Bliss Ranch for 2014. Happy New Year - Amy

  27. I still want one of those deer you make. We have lots of trees in our new back yard. Unfortunately, most of them belong to the neighbor. Do you think they'd mind if I chopped one down? As long as I made them a deer too, I think it would be okay.

    Happy New Year Bliss!!!
