The one and only flowering anything at Bliss Ranch |
#2. De-Clutter: It's Thursday, and for me that means another installment of Bliss De-clutters with Iesha over at Uncluttered Lifestyle. I don't always have time to post my de-cluttering, but each week regardless, I DO un-clutter something just to keep up with her. She does great things, I just un-mess an area, but that feels good to do.
I already knew I was not going to rework this desk or do any new deco as it is slated to be removed, but that is no excuse for the mess to pile up. So I put the stuff back on it that I need and it can stay like this till it is tore out. So much easier to think when the clutter is removed. After we tear it out not sure where I will put photos!

After |
Under the mess was a few treasures.
A box of misc. silverware my daughter makes things out of. It is now in the craft pile.
I picked up these metal numbers & letters last September at Junk Market. I'm going to put them on the baskets in the mudroom cubbies and they each stand for something.
And a Christmas gift to myself for all those times when I want just a little bit of wine.
#3. De-Dresser: I found my first freebie by the side of the road today, right at the neighbors house. FREE is so exciting. I tried to snag something earlier in the week but when I came back it was gone. This time I took no chances. I was leaving when I spotted it, so called my son and left a message... "DAD said, when you get home from school take the 4 wheeler & trailer and go get the free yellow dresser at the neighbors". (They always are more accommodating when dad wants something done than me.) When I came back by the dresser was gone so I anxiously drove up the drive looking for something yellow in my yard. And there it was.........

And if I can find a trash picking party I'll link up the dresser too!
OK, this is NOT a trash picking party, but there are no rules for the Stinky Linky party at HatingMartha so I linked up my free "lemon-aid" dresser. (Thanks to Laura from TopThisTopThat for the idea to call it a lemon).

DeDoor looks great with the branch from your yard, you did a great job of de cluttering and I need to do the same, and I can't wait to see what you do with the free curbside de dresser.
ReplyDeleteDeDoor is lovely! How I wish I could dress up my front door. But in our neighborhood it would surely be gone the next morning only to show up for sale on Craigslist. Seriously. The only thing that does not get stolen out of our front yard is vegetables. Our front yard is an urban garden wonderland with the most delish tomatos but no one wants to steal one of those. If they only knew what they were missing...
ReplyDeleteWhat are your plans for the dresser? That looks like an easy fix!
It all looks wonderful! Congrats on the dresser! Brawn can fix it! There's a trash to treasure party somewhere....just can't remember where...too much partying I guess! LOL
ReplyDeleteLorraine
my dear bliss, may i offer you a simple trick to get your road side treasures everytime regardless if you have the time or space in a vehicle. Simply take some drawers leaving the dresser more undesirable to others that may come along before you return.
ReplyDeleteKristy @ 4 the love of WOOD
You are brilliant!!
DeleteYour door looks delovely with the flowering branch. We have absolutely nothing blooming in the whole county, so count your blessings. And we got a nice dusting of snow, too. :@
ReplyDeleteThe only crap I've seen laying around is a mattress that was behind a nearby apartment building for a month and now it's GONE!! Darn! I would have hauled it to you on top of the Matrix for free.
Your door is great! And that dresser is going to be fantastic! Can't wait to see what you do with it!

Hi Bliss!
ReplyDeleteMissed you girlfriend~ was in Florida for a week with my family and just got back. Trying to catch up with everything and was visiting Elizabeth's blog (Blue Clear Sky) when I saw a comment from you saying something like, "you just emailed me and invited me to break into you guestroom, or something hilarious like that!!!!"
You crack me up.

Blissly...I thought I'd made a comment on this post but darn if I can find it. Wow is all I can say at all the neat loot you got out from under that pile. My eyes went aight to all that pile of unmatched silverware. Where did you get such a wonderful box of that. I'm jealous! And I'm dying to know what your daughter does with the silverware. Or did I miss that post or etsy place. I wonder if I go through my pile of junk if I'll find such neat stash. Probably not. Oh well!
